Here at Chichester Harbour Water Tours and Something Fishy, we have 3 boats that we can use for our trips. Shaw Thing 11, Final Answer and Warrior.
Seal Watching
We offer specialised Seal Watching tours. This is a two hour trip cruising around the harbour looking for the resident seal colony. We’re happy to report we have seen them on every trip we have done so far!
Harbour Tours & Bird Watching
Chichester Harbour Water Tours can offer any type of bird watching trip to study the waders or the various wild duck that live in the Harbour. These trips are generally done on a charter basis
Other Services
There is a ferry service that runs from Itchenor to Bosham Hoe. The Harbour Tours Management also run two charter fishing boats or Itchenor Boat Hire offer a range of self drive hire boats to explore Chichester Harbour.All trips will need to be pre-booked and pre-paid!!
We are based at Itchenor on Chichester Harbour. This is a beautiful part of the county of West Sussex and probably the best place to take a Harbour tour if you are looking for wild life, peace and quiet, with a colourful display of yachts and racing dinghies thrown in for extra excitement. There is a fleet of traditional keel boats that race from Itchenor sailing club twice a week along with state of the art sailing dinghies racing every day during the summer months.
We have a growing seal population of around 50 common and grey seals, resident and migrant wading birds, most of the British sea birds inhabit the harbour plus the invasion of Brent geese in the winter with the passing through of ospreys during April and September.
Our season for Harbour tours starts at the beginning of April until the end of October. Fishing runs from mid march to mid December and seal watching is April to October.
